approaching
the great silence of life
darkness descends
ancestral mothers dance
among the cement stones
simple by design
the pathway invites
welcome to the resting place
they call
sitting on a rock
i rest
bowing my head
opening my eyes
i see
a small acorn
st julian whispers
in my soul
god created it
god protects it
god loves it
and i respond
god will welcome it home
tears flow
the end is near
and forever here
